On 10th September 2025, the Botany Department of R.R. Mehta College of Science and College of Commerce, Palanpur, managed by the Banaskantha District Kelavani Mandal, organized a Parent-Teacher Meeting followed by a Community Lunch Program.

Program Overview
All guests, students, and parents were warmly welcomed with a traditional Tilak ceremony, reflecting the essence of Indian culture. The program began with a group prayer and Vedic chanting, instilling a spiritual and collective spirit among attendees. In the introductory session, Dr. Dhruv Pandya outlined the objectives of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), emphasizing its pivotal role in shaping not just educated, but cultured and responsible future citizens. Dr. Yogeshbhai Dabgar, in his welcome address and blessings, highlighted the significance of Indian values and culture, and elaborated on the Holistic Education Approaches under the National Education Policy (NEP). Dr. Amitbhai Parikh, in his keynote address, underlined the importance of Skill Enhancement Courses alongside academics. He described the Parent-Teacher Meeting as an "educational ecosystem" involving students, teachers, parents, and management – all integral parts working in harmony for holistic development. Dr. Sureshbhai Prajapati further elaborated on the role of various social and educational elements in building a civilized society, reiterating the
importance of maintaining and strengthening each link in this educational ecosystem.
Interaction and Feedback
The event witnessed active participation from parents, who shared positive feedback and valuable suggestions, expressing their appreciation for the initiative and its impact.
Community Meal/ “Samuhbhojan”
Each student contributed by bringing a traditional homemade dish, which was lovingly shared with everyone present. Staff, parents, and students together enjoyed the community lunch, fostering a sense of unity and cultural connection.
