Programme Schedule
National Mathematics Day was
celebrated with great enthusiasm on 22nd December 2025 to
commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian mathematician Srinivasa
Ramanujan. On this occasion, the Ramanujan Memorial State Level Conclave
& Exhibition 2025 was organized jointly by the Mathematics and
Physics Department of R. R. Mehta College of Science & C. L. Parikh
College of Commerce, Palanpur. The event aimed to promote mathematical
thinking, scientific curiosity, and interdisciplinary learning among students.
The programme commenced at 12:30
p.m. in the Physics Lab, where faculty members and students from
various institutions participated actively. The event featured multiple
academic and creative activities designed to enhance interest in Mathematics
and Physics.
The highlight of the conclave was
an expert lecture delivered by Dr. C. M. Barasara, Assistant
Professor, Department of Mathematics, Hemchandracharya North Gujarat
University, Patan entitled as ‘Magic of Mathematics’. In his insightful
lecture, Dr. Barasara elaborated on the life, contributions, and lasting impact
of Srinivasa Ramanujan on modern mathematics. He also emphasized the relevance
of mathematical research and problem-solving skills in contemporary scientific
advancements. The session was highly informative and inspired students to
pursue higher studies and research in mathematics.
An oral presentation session
was organized in which students presented their views on various topics related
to Mathematics and Physics. The presentations reflected innovative ideas,
analytical skills, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. The
session encouraged academic interaction and constructive discussions among
