Palanpur: On 31st August 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Prof. A. R. Rao T.Y. B.Sc. State-Level Mathematics Competition was successfully organized at R.R. Mehta College of Science and C.L. Parikh College of Commerce, Palanpur. This prestigious competition, held every year in the name of Prof. A. R. Rao, witnesses enthusiastic participation from T.Y. B.Sc. Mathematics students across the entire state of Gujarat.
This year, the competition especially emphasized subjects such as Number Theory and Statistics, Plane and Solid Geometry, Linear Algebra, and Calculus (Integration, Differentiation, and Differential Equations). At the state level, the student securing the first position will be awarded a prize of ₹1200/-, the second position ₹1000/-, and the third position ₹800/-. The results will be announced in the coming days.
The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Prof. Haresh Chaudhary, Centre Coordinator, Department of Mathematics. From this centre, T.Y. B.Sc. Mathematics students of the college — Nikita S. Chaudhary, Dhruvi B. Prajapati, Tanvi B. Parmar, and Taniya B. Parmar — enthusiastically participated in the competition. The event also received indirect support from Dr. Yogesh B. Dabgar, Principal, and Dr. Anil D. Parmar, Head of the Department of Mathematics.
